Finance Graduate
  • Josefin Andersson
  • 24 years
  • Employed since august 2018
  • Master in Management Accounting and Control

  • How would you describe your field and main tasks?

As a Finance Graduate I have the opportunity to experience several fields within finance. Starting in Group Reporting and Accounting, I assisted in the financial controlling. By reviewing the numbers reported from our colleagues all over the world, we ensure the quality of our consolidated figures based on its alignment to accounting standards and our internal management reporting instructions. In the second rotation, my current working role, I am a part of Financial Planning and Analysis. Here, I am providing business controlling for internal guidance and reporting. For example, it includes producing and developing reports for the budget and forecast processes and carrying out analysis on areas of interest.

  • What are the most exciting and challenging parts of your job?

I get to experience several parts of the finance area to have a broader understanding of the organization’s operations. It means collaborations with different functions which brings a lot of knowledge across, but also insights in contradicting challenges within the finance area. Additionally, by working in retail, and more precisely the jewellery industry, I can understand the product and our customers. It inspires me that I am able to see where my work impacts and try to connect the actual business to the distant finance function.

  • How do you use your education in your position?

The understanding of the components in the financial statements is essential in my day-to-day life. Additionally, the knowledge of the accounting standards is needed for the financial controlling as this defines the framework for reporting.

  • What are the three most important things for you in your job at Pandora?

For me, the most important things in my job are having a direction and reason of why and what I am doing, being able to see results in it and working with competent and inspiring colleagues.

  • Why is Pandora an attractive company for you?

In Pandora, I can affect my work, independently on which level I am working on. It is a dynamic organisation with a lot of changes, which make each working day unique. I get to be a part of, and give insights, in which direction we are heading. Finally, the passion for our products, is a strong driver within Pandora that creates a strong team spirit to be the best possible jewellery company.
