Veterinary nursing has seen a period of rapid development over the past decade and Bristol has been at the forefront in the evolution of the profession. Bristol veterinary nursing graduates may be found in many of the specialist referral practices in the UK, and a number have published work in peer-reviewed veterinary journals such as the Veterinary Record and the Journal of Small Animal Practice.
