The Master program in Biomedical Computing

he Master's in Biomedical Computing is taught in English over four semesters and is an interdisciplinary program involving the Department of Informatics and the TUM Medical School.
The program bridges the gap between computer science and medicine, focusing on software and imaging-related solutions for computer-aided medical procedures. Topics covered include medical data acquisition and management, medical ontologies and physics of medical imaging, medical image processing, visualization, advanced user interfaces, and computer-aided medical solutions.
Students participate in a mandatory clinical project and in medical courses delivered by experts from TUM Medical School. This provides a unique understanding of medical problems in imaging, interventions, and diagnosis. Students can also select related modules from the extensive range offered by TUM Informatics.
