for successful management of modern Information Systems/Information Technology (IS/IT) projects and the tools and techniques for implementation.

Students will gain a firm understanding of contemporary concepts in IS/IT including technology
development cycles, architecture awareness, package implementation and IS/IT project life
cycle phases. They will address key aspects of IS/ IT project management, including management
of virtual teams in globally distributed (onshore/ offshore) environments, risks, ethics and sustainability
issues and management of multiple stakeholder requirements. Students will also enhance their
soft skills in negotiating and managing change in complex, culturally diverse business environments.

Outline of the MSc in Project Management

• The MSc in Project Management is designed to give students an understanding of the theory and practice of all fundamental project management disciplines and phases.

• Six core modules cover core subjects such as Planning and Budgeting, Execution and Control, Contracts and Procurement Management and Sustainability. Students then specialise by studying Managing Successful IS/IT Projects, and Tools and Techniques for Successful IS/IT Projects.

• Crucially, students will also be introduced to areas such as Organisational Behaviour and People Management. An understanding of organisations, people and cultures is essential to successful project management in today’s multicultural workplace.

• Each student will complete the qualification with an original dissertation. Students should graduate with the knowledge and expertise necessary to carry out project management design, planning, execution and delivery on time and on budget.

• Moreover, students will have a thorough grounding in all current project methodologies. This will open up flexible career paths in senior executive management that transcend sectors and regions, enabling students to practise effective project management in all professional environments.

Prior to taking this Online MSc in Project Management from Laureate Online Education, the following are required:

• Bachelor’s degree equivalent to UK Honours degree

• English equivalent to minimum of IETS test level 6.5 overall

• TOEFL 580 paper based test / 88 Internet based test / TEEP 6.5

• 2 years of relevant work experience
